Bobrisky: “No One Will Be Spared” Minister vows

Bobrisky

In a striking development surrounding the ongoing bribery scandal involving Bobrisky, the Minister of Interior has issued a firm statement declaring that no one found guilty in this case will escape accountability. This announcement comes amid serious allegations that Bobrisky, whose real name is Idris Okuneye, bribed officials to dismiss money laundering charges against him.

Bobrisky was previously embroiled in legal troubles, having served a six-month sentence for currency abuse. However, recent claims surfaced suggesting that he allegedly paid ₦15 million to certain officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to have these charges dropped. The allegations were brought to light by social media personality Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, who released a viral audio recording purportedly featuring Bobrisky discussing the bribe.

In response to these serious accusations, the EFCC has launched an investigation and summoned both Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan to assist in uncovering the truth. The agency’s chairman, Ola Olukoyede, emphasized the commitment to integrity and professionalism in handling this case.

The Minister of Interior’s warning underscores the seriousness of the allegations and the government’s determination to address corruption within its ranks. “No one found guilty in this case will be spared,” he stated, signaling that both Bobrisky and any implicated officials will face consequences if proven guilty.
