Operatives from the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested 24 suspected internet fraudsters in various parts of Benin City on Monday, September 30, 2024.
The arrests were made based on credible intelligence regarding their alleged involvement in cyber fraud.
Items seized from the suspects include 11 luxury cars, laptops, and phones. Additionally, N160,000.00 (One Hundred and Sixty Thousand Naira) was recovered from one of the individuals.
The suspects have provided useful information and will be prosecuted once investigations are concluded.
