The Federal Government signaled plans to evacuate Nigerians in Lebanon as tensions between Israel and Iran intensified.
On Tuesday, October 1, Iran launched 180 ballistic missiles at Israel in retaliation for the deaths of leaders of Iran-backed militant groups.
Iraq, Lebanon, and Jordan, situated between Iran and Israel, are likely to be impacted by the conflict.
In a post on X.com on Tuesday evening, Dada Olusegun, the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, using the handle @DOlusegun, announced: “Alert! All Nigerians in Lebanon should contact the Nigerian mission for profiling, documentation, and potential evacuation.”
