Video: “I’ll lead protest to EFCC’s office” – VDM

VDM

Social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has announced his intention to lead a protest against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), accusing the agency of unfairly profiling Nigerian youth. According to VDM, the EFCC frequently arrests young people based on their appearance, cars, and houses, while failing to take action against high-profile individuals like former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, who was previously declared wanted.

VDM expressed frustration that despite being wanted by the EFCC, Yahaya Bello has not been arrested. Meanwhile, the agency regularly raids homes to arrest young men, particularly those driving luxury cars such as Benz. He acknowledged that some youths may be involved in fraudulent activities, but pointed out that none of them have been publicly declared wanted, unlike Yahaya Bello, whose arrest remains pending despite the EFCC’s earlier declaration.

The planned protest aims to draw attention to what VDM sees as selective enforcement and injustice in the country.
