Award-winning Nigerian music icon, Wizkid, has reignited his long-standing feud with fellow Afrobeats star, Davido.
In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Wizkid stirred controversy while announcing the release of his first single of the year, taking a direct jab at Davido.
The situation escalated when an X user questioned Wizkid’s motive for dissing Davido, tweeting, “So if you don’t beef @davido, your song won’t sell?”
Wizkid dismissed the claim, boldly stating that he doesn’t engage with “wack niggas,” taking a clear shot at Davido’s talent.
He also coined a derogatory nickname for Davido, calling him “Frigodo,” and claimed, “Bingos got nothing on Starboy General till Infinity.”
Wizkid’s tweet read: “80 trash! We got 80 albums for any song y’all drop. honeypot boys.
I don’t beef with wack niggas! We all know he’s wack! No talent.
Frigodo.”
The rivalry between these two music giants, which has fluctuated over the years, intensified recently due to a series of controversial tweets from Wizkid.
The feud took a bitter turn when both artists began attacking each other’s personal lives. Davido accused Wizkid of domestic abuse against his girlfriend and baby mama, Jada Pollock, while Wizkid retaliated by mocking Davido’s infidelity, suggesting the “FEM” singer had been caught pleading with one of his side chicks for sex.
Adding to the tension, Wizkid also ridiculed Davido’s venture into cryptocurrency. After Davido launched a meme coin, Wizkid took a jab, advising his followers to “work smart and avoid hustling like a fool.”
