On Tuesday, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) carried out a series of coordinated raids in various supermarkets and markets, including Wuse and Garki in Abuja.
In a post on its official X account, NAFDAC shared images and videos from the operation, highlighting its dedication to public safety by cracking down on the sale of unregistered and counterfeit cosmetic products.During the raids, officials seized a large quantity of counterfeit cosmetics valued at an estimated N37 million.
This effort is part of NAFDAC’s ongoing campaign to remove counterfeit and illegally imported cosmetics from the markets in the nation’s capital.
