In response to legal threats from rapper Falz, social media activist VeryDarkMan has denied accusations of defaming Femi Falana, Falz’s father and a renowned human rights lawyer. VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, issued a statement asserting that his client respects Femi Falana’s reputation and does not intend to defame him.
VeryDarkMan further emphasized his respect for Femi Falana’s commitment to human rights and the rule of law in Nigeria, insisting that an interagency investigation into Bobrisky’s allegations would be the appropriate course of action rather than a defamation case.
This development comes after Falz issued a 24-hour ultimatum to VeryDarkMan, demanding the removal of all defamatory statements and an apology. Falz clarified that he never reached out to Bobrisky and that VeryDarkMan made no prior contact with him before publishing the claims, which also included insinuations of homosexuality.
As the legal battle continues, VeryDarkMan maintains his stance of respecting Femi Falana’s work while asserting his intention to prompt an investigation into Bobrisky’s explosive allegations.
