Nigerian social media critic Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has responded to human rights lawyer Femi Falana after the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) threatened to use him as an example in a defamation case. In a recent interview, Falana discussed the ongoing legal battle against VeryDarkMan, emphasizing the need to set a precedent with this case.
In a video released on his social media platforms, VeryDarkMan addressed the backlash he received following Falana’s comments. He clarified that his focus is not on personal attacks but rather on exposing corruption within the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He stated, “To be honest, I refuse to make this about VeryDarkMan and the Falanas. It is about exposing corruption that has eaten the system so deep.”

Despite the tensions, VeryDarkMan expressed his respect for Femi Falana, stating that he would prostrate in greeting him if they ever met. “I hold Uncle Femi in high regard,” he said. “Even if he eventually takes me to court, I have no problem with that.”
